Nigeria holds Cameroon to 1-1 Draw as Moses hits the net

Cameroon were held to a one all draw by the Super Eagles of Nigeria in Yaounde as they could not convert their dominance of the ball into goals.

Cameroon started the match in a very positive mood. They attacked very sharply and forced the Nigerian goal keeper to make saves early on in the first half.

Victor Moses made a fantastic run at the Cameroonian defense from a fantastic lofted pass from Mikel Obi which resulted in a corner kick. It was however not converted.

The first twenty minutes saw a lot of hard tackles by both sides forcing the referee to intervene more than necessary.

Cameroon dominated for most of the first half half but it was Nigeria who would score through Moses Simon. Ighalo did well to hold of a Cameroonian defender to get the ball to Victor Moses who got the ball over to his name sake Moses Simon to score the game’s opener 30 minutes into the first half.

Cameroon were not detered as they continued to push on for their first goal against Nigeria which eluded them in the first leg in Uyo.

Moses Simon showed some glimpse of imspirational football making good runs but had problems getting the ball to his target in the opposition’s 18 yard box.

The Cameroonians continued to dominate the game all through to the end of the first half but could not find the back of the net of the Nigerian goal post.

Cameroon started the second half with the same momentum with which they started the first – very positive. They held the ball in the midfield and dominated possession.

The Super Eagles had moments of briliance in the 54^th minute wihen Victor Moses dribbled past a defender close to the corner area but could not get his pass to Odion Ighalo.
