Lagos promises residents to take care of the flood

The Lagos state promises its inhabitant to take care of the recent flooding in Lagos state. because of the heavy down pour of rain in Lagos there have been over flooding especially in Lekki area of Lagos, but the government have told them to keep calm as they are going to fix it.

The Commissioner of environment Dr. Babatunde Adejere said that the this recent rainfall brought fear to the citizens. (people are afraid especially those living close to the coastal areas). He eased fear from the residents promising that the government have have activated solutions to the over flooding.

He added that the flooding will subside after a period of time. The flooding was mainly caused by the blockage of the drainage system and this has made the Lagoon to swell up.

The government have also pleaded with residents of Lagos over the loss of properties especially the affected parts of Lagos e.g Lekki.

The members of the public are advised to desist from dumping refuse inside the drainage systems so that there will be no flooding especially in Lagos
