Doctor killed by Lassa Fever 

A medical Doctor who owns a hospital in Umuaji (Asaba) who earlier had a symptom of fever and bleeding from some part of his body dies of Lassa fever in Nnamdi Azikiwe Teaching Hospital Nnewi some hours ago, according to press it was said that the doctor got infected and was taken to the hospital but when the sickness was severe he was now taken to Nnamdi Azikiwe Teaching Hospital Nnewi (NAUTH) were the doctor later died.

Meanwhile the samples of his blood was taken and examined and it appears the doctor was positive.

Moreover, the driver and the wife of the doctor have also been quarantined and also tested for the disease and it was said that they were negative.

Meanwhile researches and investigations are being made in other to get the last people the diseased doctor was with, before the sickness became more server. 

Lassa fever is always more rampant in dry season because rats will now go to various houses to look for shelter and may infect our foods in the process. Once rats get this virus they are infected for life.

everybody is also adviced to keep his environment clean so as to avoid further spread of the virus, and also make a good effort to keep there houses rat free.
though it is not that easy for some homes but it is highly recommended.
