Edo state election between Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and All Progressive Congress (APC) have been longed for.

The result for the election is out for some of the Local Governments in Edo State and 17 local governments have been announced out of the 18 local Governments.

The ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) won in 12 Local Governments while Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) won in five Local Governments.

The All Progressive Congress Won in the following Local Governments: Akoko LGA, Ikpoba-Okha, Etsako West, Etsako East, Etsako Cenral, Owan East LGA, Ovia North LGA, Oredo LGA, Uhunwomnde,  Igueben LGA, Egor LGA, Owan West LGA

While Peoples Democratic Party Won in the following Local Governments: Esan North Central, Esan West LGA, Orhionmwon LGA, Esan South East LGA, Esan North East LGA.

However, Peoples Democratic Part (PDP) said that they will not accept the result. and they went further to say that there was collaboration between APC and the present government in the result provided by Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

Peoples Democratic party (PDP) also said that the result is not transparent and that it does not tally with what they have.

One of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) member in Oredo region of Edo State said that what INEC published as the result did not tally with what he have in his own record. and they are protesting against the result published by INEC.

However, The APC National chairman said that the action of PDP is Mischievous and he further said that it is not different from what they have been doing before.
